Individually, each principal has a rich history of accomplishment from large commercial transactions to high-end single-family homes. Howard N. Blitman is an award-winning professional engineer registered in five states and recently held the esteemed position of President of the National Society of Professional Engineers. He has served as a member of the Planning and Zoning Boards for the Village of Scarsdale and was a former Chairman of the Board of Architectural Review and Trustee for the Village. In addition to his many accomplishments during a 45-plus year career, his firm, The Blitman Group, has developed more than 15,000 residences and over 10 million square feet of commercial space.
Wharton Development Corp., led by Peter C. Lewis, was founded in 1987. The firm is an affiliate of New York City based Wharton Equity Partners, which is a diversified investment company with interests in real estate, venture capital and private equity. Wharton Development has developed in excess of $250 million in real estate since its inception. Prior to forming Wharton Equity Partners, Mr. Lewis had a distinguished career in investment banking, commercial banking and public accounting. Mr. Lewis is a graduate of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and the Columbia University Graduate School of Business.
Among the varied projects of the principals are: The Preserve at Somers, a 188 single family home development located in Somers, New York; Montville Chase, a 317-unit community located in Montville, New Jersey; The Preserve at Rye, a 38-home luxury development in Rye, New York; Reed Farm, 258-unit townhome community located in Brewster, New York; The Wimbeldon, a 28-story luxury high rise situated on the upper east side of Manhattan; and Royal Executive Park, a 550,000 square foot office park in Rye, New York.
